The meeting will be centered around a series of lectures directed at a broad audience of young researchers (including Master and PhD students, young postdocs, and research associates) as well as senior scientists from developing countries working on various aspects of condensed matter physics, material science, as well as statistical and chemical physics. The invited lecturers will be internationally recognized experts in the research field. The invited lectures will be complemented by short talks of the younger participants from the developing countries of Central and South East Asia, Caucasus and the Middle East.
The event can be considered as a part of our effort to attract advanced topics of the modern physics and technology to developing world with the focus on such regions as Central Asia, Caucasus, South East Asia and Middle East. Thus, advanced topics of science such as quantum science and technology, quantum information, and nanoscale physics did not yet take root in the region. On the other hand, experts working on and familiar with material science, energy conversion, and nanotechnology are needed by the economies of these countries. We believe that the organization of such a School will help in attracting young researchers to these emerging areas of research. The event will also help in strengthening the cooperation between researchers from the above mentioned regions with the international academic community in Europe, the U.S., Japan, and other developed countries.
